The Telling of Sarah Jane
The rain
doesn't trouble her
and the squalid alleyway
is of no concern
She's found her way
beyond the streets today
Though peace
is yet a mockery
in her glazed
vacant gaze
Pain
finds no resting place
upon dampened sheets
of crimson haze
The world
is oblivious
to this child's unknowing remains
Strolling
indifferently on
Crumpled
clutched in her fragile hand
the reason she has gone
Two lines
a bitter fare
Tell it to the wall kid
nobody cares
